William Blakey III has been playing music since the age of six years old when he first picked up a guitar. He would subsequently begin playing the bass guitar at eight years old, drums at 12 years old, and piano at 16 years old. Will’s love for music has always been a driving force in his life, playing in various bands from metal to Gospel. He attended William Paterson University for music, where he was a part of the jazz band as both a guitarist & bassist. While Will is mainly known for being a bass player, he has never stopped playing guitar, and often writes songs on guitar. In late 2013, he joined the Bryan Hansen Band. He has since completed one album with the band and is currently in the studio completing another. Will’s influences include the Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers, & Victor Wooten.
