Bryan Hansen – Jan. 10, 2018

Singer songwriter Bryan Hansen has been performing since age 15. He learned how to play the guitar at age 11 when his father restrung his Fender Stratocaster that had been collecting dust under a bed for over 10 years. Fast forward to 2009, Hansen recorded his first solo EP called “Ebb & Flow,” a concept recording about a relationship from beginning to end.

August 2013, Brothers Among Wolves debuted as Bryan Hansen’s first full length album. Comprised of 13 original songs featuring “Weather in Jersey,” “Through A Hero’s Eyes,” and fan favorite “Amongst The Clouds.” The album was recorded by Producer Stephen Kaminski and featured 18 different musicians from the New Jersey music scene. After performing 86 shows with the studio musicians from Brothers Among Wolves, Hansen selected musicians William Blakey & Cwan Merritt to perform with him as a Trio.

Bryan Hansen Band has been featured in various venues, bars, wineries and coffee houses in the tri-state area. Their sound is a mix of funk, rock, soul and R&B with music influences from Stevie Wonder, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Al Green and Victor Wooten.

Fall 2016 Bryan Hansen Band released it’s sophomore record ‘When You Stop Pulling Back.’ Featuring singles “Tasteless,” and “Tug Of War.” On September 24th, 2016 the band played a sold out performance at the Union County Performing Arts Center Hamilton Stage with opener Kim Boyko. The album is a dedication to Bryan’s father, who taught him how to play the guitar at age 10. Audio Engineer Pete Andrews recorded the bands instruments for the project and Bryan flew out to Chicago, Illinois to join Producer Stephen Kaminski for Post Production and Vocals.
